What size are the storage units?
Approximately 14’ x 47’. Our access doors are 12’ wide x 14’ tall with 16’ tall ceilings. They provide up to 650 +/- SF and 8,000+/- cubic feet of storage.
What is the largest size RV, Boat, Motorhome I can store there?
We can accommodate up to a 45’ length.
Do you offer electricity?
We do offer 20-AMP 120V electrical service that includes LED lighting.
Am I required to sign a long-term contract?
No; Our initial term is 180 days (6 months) and it auto-renews until you give 30 days notice. We also offer price breaks for 6 month and 12 month pay in advance contracts.
Do you have a dump station to empty sewer on my RV?
We do not offer sewer dump services at this time; however, you can dump your tanks for FREE at the City of Lynchburg Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 2301 Concord Turnpike Lynchburg, VA 24504 (include link and phone https://www.lynchburgva.gov/sewer-programs) Facility is open 24/7.
Can I work on my Recreational Vehicle inside my storage bay?
You may do light maintenance such as vacuum, buff, replace light bulbs, wipers to your recreational vehicle provided you do not impede/block access for other tenants. No major repair or service work may be done on any stored property by Lessee or any third party at any time while the property is stored inside the unit. Washing, servicing, or repairing of stored property is not permitted inside the unit.
Do you offer water connections?
We do have municipal water on-site. Water is available to fill your RV prior to your trip and for washing your RV when you return. * Remember, it is important NOT to block other bays or traffic flow when washing.
Are the storage units climate controlled?
No, they are not climate controlled, and your recreational vehicle should be winterized accordingly.

How do I pay my storage fees?
They will be automatically charged to a VISA, MASTERCARD or DISCOVER CARD ONLY.
Is rent prorated?
Rent is prorated for the first month based on the portion of the month you will be occupied. For example, if you rent on the 17th of the month, you will be responsible for rent from the 17th through the end of month at contract signing, then your monthly auto draft will resume the 1st of the following month.
What documentation do I need to rent?
A valid form of government issued ID (Driver’s License, Passport)
What items am I not allowed to store?
Perishables, food, plants, animals, stolen goods, illegal goods, flammables, combustibles, liquids.
What security features do you offer?
We offer dusk to dawn outdoor LED lighting, 24/7 camera monitoring covering all units from exterior. We are less than one mile from local fire department.
Does anyone else have access to my unit?
No, your unit is fully enclosed and the only people with access are you and the Management Team of Store It Big.
Am I allowed to operate a business out of my storage unit?
No, we do not permit individuals to operate a business out of their unit. If the storage unit is used to warehouse goods used in conjunction with your business, that is okay.
